Community Building Initiatives Network is a recently founded Association determined to make a difference in community living one person at a time. Our focus is on fostering unity and empowerment through various initiatives and programs.

An afterschool STEAM program
Our STEAM program offers diverse workshops to girls in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.
We organize STEAM events and participate with the National Science Weekend in Amsterdam
Helping women shape their future
Empower Her Destiny is CBIN’s empowerment line for women. It creates space for women to slow down, reflect, learn, and take concrete steps toward personal and economic growth.
Empower Her Destiny is practical, respectful, and action-oriented. We believe empowerment is not just about talking—but about doing, learning, and passing knowledge forward.
From voices to action
The Community Engagement & Mobilizationpillar focuses on strengthening local leadership and collective decision-making. Through structured community processes, residents learn how to organize, facilitate dialogue, and translate shared concerns into concrete action.
We use proven methods such as community meetings, asset mapping, and cluster formation.
This pillar is about moving beyond consultation toward ownership and participation—ensuring that communities are not only heard, but actively shaping their own future.
We highly recommend that parents actively participate in STEAM projects together with their children (even if its the first 1/2 hour), with a strong emphasis on the importance of including and encouraging girls to take part in these educational activities. However, it is crucial to also create an inclusive environment where both boys and girls can thrive.
